The Free plan is free and covers real trip planning: 2 active trips at a time with unlimited stays, transport, and activities in each, plus 10 documents and 3 journal photos per trip, and expense tracking. A trip is active when its end date is today or later, so past trips and drafts never count, and trips shared with you never count toward your 2. You also get AI allowances every month to try each feature: 10 planner questions, and 5 each of imports, document reads, website reads, and destination suggestions. Passes, digital tickets and QR codes, Trip Essentials, Pinned Ideas and notes, and Your Atlas are included on every plan as well, with no caps.

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of Plus, with no credit card required. During the trial, content is unlimited (trips, documents, journal photos) and the AI features have larger trial allowances: 25 planner questions and 15 each of imports, document reads, website reads, and destination suggestions. When the trial ends, nothing is charged, and you then move to the Free plan unless you choose to upgrade to Plus.

Each AI feature has its own allowance on the Free plan, with separate counters rather than one shared pool, and every allowance starts again on the first day of each calendar month: 10 planner questions, 5 imports, 5 document reads, 5 website reads, and 5 destination suggestions. Yes. You can upgrade to Plus at any time, and switch between monthly and yearly billing. If you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted when your plan changes.

You never lose data. The Free plan keeps 2 active trips, and a trip is active when its end date is today or later, so a trip that has ended stops counting on its own. If you're at the limit, delete a trip to get back under it, or upgrade to Plus for unlimited trips. If you later move from Plus back to Free with more than the Free plan allows, nothing is deleted. Your trips stay editable for 30 days, and after that the Free plan keeps 2 active trips editable and the rest become read-only, never deleted. A role already given stays, a link already made keeps working, and documents and photos over a limit stay. Only adding and changing what Plus gates stops.

Yes. Add travelers to a trip on any plan, assign them to specific bookings and activities, and keep everyone's documents in one place. Give a companion access by email or invite link and the trip opens in their own TripTraverse account. Can view, free on every plan, lets them read the itinerary and complete the tasks you assign them. Can suggest and Can edit, which need Plus, let them propose items or change the plan with you.

Yes. Every plan can share a read-only view of the itinerary by link, which needs no account to open, and can export and print the full itinerary. Plus adds password protection for shared links and email-specific access, which ties a link to one email address. For the people back home, the Safety Report on Plus shows where you are and when, with costs and private notes left out.
