    Getting started

Create an account, get a first trip into TripTraverse (by hand, by forwarding a confirmation, or by asking the AI Planner), and watch it line up on one itinerary.

    Create your account

Create your account at triptraverse.app. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of Plus. No credit card is required, so you can try everything, including the AI features, before deciding. When the trial ends, nothing is charged, and you then move to the Free plan.

TripTraverse runs in your web browser, on desktop and on your phone, so there's nothing to install. A dedicated mobile app is planned.

    Create a trip

Start with the basics: a name, rough dates, and where you're headed. You don't need to know your hotels or flights yet: add them later by hand, or have them created for you by forwarding your booking emails.

The Free plan includes 2 active trips at a time, and a trip is active when its end date is today or later: past trips never count, and neither do trips shared with you. Plus removes the limit.

    Stays, transport & activities

A trip is built from items: stays, transport, and activities. Every plan has unlimited items per trip. Each item keeps its own details in one place: dates and times, confirmation numbers, costs, notes, and any documents you attach to it. Transport is organized into routes, and a route carries as many legs as the trip needs, with travelers assigned to specific legs.

    Import bookings automatically

Free: 5 imports (emails and uploads together), 5 document reads and 5 website reads per month · Plus: unlimited

Three ways to skip the data entry, each counted against a monthly allowance on the Free plan:

    • Email forwarding: forward a booking confirmation to the forwarding address shown on your Inbox page, from the email address on your account (or another sender address you've verified in settings). The dates, confirmation numbers, and addresses are extracted and become an item on your trip.
    • Uploading a file: drop a confirmation PDF or a screenshot into the Inbox, and the same extraction runs on it. An upload counts as an import, the same allowance a forwarded email uses. Attaching a file to an item and choosing Read document reads it too, and that counts as a document read.
    • URL extraction: paste a link to an activity or attraction, and the key details are pulled into a trip item.

    AI Planner

Free: 10 planner questions and 5 destination suggestions per month · Plus: unlimited

Chat in plain English to brainstorm destinations, activities, and restaurants. When the planner suggests something you like, save it straight to your itinerary as an unbooked placeholder: a slot on your itinerary you can firm up when you actually book. Destination suggestions are the other half of this allowance: once a destination is on the trip, its page offers ideas at that place, three at a time in a category you choose, and the ones you like are saved onto the trip as activities.

    Itinerary & smart scheduling

Gap Alerts and auto-created drives are Plus features

Everything you add, whether imported, AI-suggested, or manual, lines up on one day-by-day itinerary, with a calendar view for the bigger picture. Two Plus tools work on that itinerary: Gap Alerts is a wait-time calculator that automatically works out the wait between one booking and the next (a 9 AM arrival and a 3 PM check-in, say) and flags it on the itinerary, so you can plan something for the gap instead of waiting in a lobby, and auto-created drives watch for a gap between two stops that a rental car you booked already covers, then offer to put that drive on the itinerary in one click, with the driving time estimated for you.

Every destination on the trip also gets a page of its own: that city's stays, routes, and activities with their cost subtotals, its live weather and AI suggestions, and the notes, Pinned Ideas, and journal entries you kept there.

    Day to day

    Managing your trip

Everything you do with a trip once it exists: the people on it, the paperwork, the money, the passes and tickets you carry on the day, handing the finished plan to everyone else, and what all your trips add up to.

    People & trip access

Travelers and Can view on every plan · Can suggest and Can edit are Plus

Add travelers to a trip on any plan and assign them to specific bookings, transport legs, and activities, with each traveler's details and documents kept together. The People page gathers them all in one place, alongside a view of who has access to which trip. You can also give a companion access by email or by invite link, so they open the trip in their own TripTraverse account. Can view, on every plan, lets them read the plan and complete the tasks you assign them. Can suggest lets them pin ideas, comment and suggest items or send in their own bookings for you to accept or decline, and Can edit lets them add, change and remove items with you. Offering those two roles needs Plus, and a role once given is never taken back if your plan lapses. Who has access, the travelers and deleting the trip stay with you.

    Documents & journal

Free: 10 documents and 3 journal photos per trip · Plus: unlimited

Upload tickets, insurance PDFs, and confirmation screenshots, and link each document to the item it belongs to, with no scrolling through a camera roll at the ticket counter. The journal keeps photos and memories with the trip they came from.

    Expense tracking

Log costs on stays, transport, and activities (in different currencies where your trip crosses borders), and the expense views keep a running picture of what the trip costs: a ledger of every expense, a budget overview, and breakdowns by category. Expense tracking is included on every plan.

    Trip Health

As departure gets closer, the Trip Health view shows how ready you actually are: which parts of the trip are booked and confirmed, and what still needs attention, so gaps surface before you're at the airport, not after.

    Passes & vouchers

    Included on every plan

Passes (the tickets and vouchers you have already paid for) are kept together on the trip's Passes card: city passes, theme-park and tour passes, transit passes, airline and hotel credits, and gift cards.

A pass is single-use, multi-use, or balance-tracked, and a balance-tracked one has its remaining balance come down as you spend it. Two clocks are kept for you: the fixed expiry date, and a countdown you start yourself at activation, so a 48-hour city pass only begins counting when you activate it. Anything that has run out of time is flagged automatically.

Link a pass or voucher to the activities it pays for, and the redemptions, partial or full, and the remaining balance are tracked and flow into the trip's cost tracking. Passes are free on every plan, with no cap on how many you keep.

Passes sit with the other three travel-day tools on How it works.

The Passes card on a trip. An activated pass counts down, partly spent cards show what is left, and an expiring credit is flagged.

    Digital tickets & QR codes

    Included on every plan

Switch a digital ticket on for an activity or a transport leg and its QR code is saved there, on the thing it admits you to. It opens at scanning size straight from the itinerary, from the Up Next view, or from the dashboard, with a prompt to turn your screen brightness up before you hold the phone to the reader.

A QR Codes tab under the trip's Documents lists every code you have saved, so at the gate you are one tap from the right one rather than scrolling back through an inbox.

Tickets, Passes, Trip Essentials, and the notepad are shown side by side on How it works.

    Trip Essentials

    Included on every plan

The services wrapped around an itinerary rarely fit on it: travel insurance, an eSIM or data plan, a visa, equipment rental, a concierge booking, health services. A Trip Essentials card on the trip gives them a home of their own.

Each entry records the provider and its confirmation details: the policy or confirmation number, and the phone number to call. All of it is filed with the trip it covers rather than in a folder you would be hunting through at the worst possible moment.

Trip Essentials is one of four travel-day tools; see them together on How it works.

Pinned Ideas & the Trip Notepad

    Included on every plan

Not everything is a booking yet. Pinned Ideas are the shortlist for the maybes: each idea keeps a title, your notes, the link you found it on, and a category (restaurant, attraction, experience, shopping, or other), and it can be pinned to a particular destination or to the trip as a whole.

Promoting an idea opens a new-activity dialog already filled in from it, and the idea is only marked as promoted once that activity exists. The Trip Notepad sits beside the shortlist for everything that is not a list: freeform notes at trip or destination level, and any note can be turned into a task.

The notepad and the other three travel-day tools are shown together on How it works.

    Sharing & reports

Links and export are free · passwords and email-specific access, email delivery, emailing a journal entry and the Safety Report are Plus
    • Read-only link (every plan): share your itinerary with anyone by link; no account needed to view it.
    • Export & print (every plan): a clean PDF of the full itinerary.
    • Password-protected sharing (Plus): put a password on shared links.
    • Email-specific access (Plus): tie a link to one email address. Creating one sends nothing; that is what email delivery is for.
    • Email delivery (Plus): send the itinerary to specific email recipients.
    • Email a journal entry (Plus): send a public journal entry's link to up to ten addresses at once.
    • Safety Report (Plus): a privacy-filtered report built for the people back home: it shows where you are and when, while costs, private notes, and sensitive details are excluded by design.

    Templates, loyalty & alerts

Saving templates, adding memberships and email notifications are Plus · applying a packing template and in-app alerts are on every plan
    • Trip templates (Plus): save a finished trip as a template and start the next one from it. The destinations, stays, routes and activities come across, and you set the dates.
    • Packing templates: preview and apply any of the built-in templates on every plan. Saving and changing your own is Plus.
    • Loyalty programs & perks (Plus to add and change): store airline and hotel loyalty numbers and memberships in one place, with the status tier and the perks of each, and see a clear flag when a membership is about to expire.
    • Booking window alerts (every plan): an alert in the trip's Urgent Actions and the notification bell when a booking window is about to open, 1, 24 or 48 hours ahead.
    • Email notifications (Plus): the same alerts by email, along with trip reminders, booking confirmations and document expiry alerts. Every plan keeps the in-app alerts.

    Your Atlas

    Included on every plan

Atlas is a page of its own, outside any single trip, and it keeps a running count of your lifetime travels: trips, countries, cities, and travel days across the top, with a world map underneath that stamps the countries you have visited and shows them against the ones you have planned.

Logged trips feed it automatically. Open a country and the map frames it and drops pins on the cities you visited there. Countries you visited before TripTraverse can be marked by hand; cities cannot.

Atlas is a record of where you have been rather than something you broadcast; there is no sharing today.

It appears on the features page as Track your travel history.

Clicking a country opens it beside the map, with a photograph of the place and its passport stamp, this one marked by hand rather than drawn from a logged trip.
    Plans & payments

    Billing & account

How upgrading, switching, and cancelling work, and what happens to your data when a plan changes.

    Plans, upgrades & payments

Upgrade to Plus in the app at any time, and switch between monthly and yearly billing whenever you like. If you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and the account then moves to the Free plan. Nothing is ever deleted when your plan changes. Losing Plus takes away nothing that exists: your trips stay editable for 30 days, and after that the Free plan keeps 2 active trips editable and the rest become read-only, never deleted. A role already given stays, a link already made keeps working, and documents and photos over a limit stay. Only adding and changing what Plus gates stops. To unlock a read-only trip, upgrade to Plus or delete a trip to get back under the limit.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card details.

    Common billing questions

The same answers you'll find on the FAQ, kept here so plan questions are answered where you are reading.

    How much does TripTraverse cost?
The Free plan is free and covers real trip planning. Plus is $9.99 per month or $89 per year and unlocks unlimited trips, documents, photos, and AI features. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of Plus, with no credit card required.Full pricing and plan comparison
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. The 7-day Plus trial starts automatically when you create an account, with no card on file. When it ends, nothing is charged, and you then move to the Free plan unless you choose to upgrade to Plus.
    What is the refund policy?
Except where the law requires otherwise, we don't offer refunds. Instead, we make sure you never have to buy blind: every new account gets a 7-day free trial of Plus with no card required, and the Free plan costs nothing. If you cancel your Plus plan, it stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.More billing questions on the pricing page
How do I cancel or change my plan?
You can switch between monthly and yearly billing or cancel at any time. When you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the paid period, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted when your plan changes. If you're over a Free limit, everything you have stays, and only adding more past the cap stops.
    Talk to us

    Support

When the answer isn't on this page, write to us. Here is where to send it and what to put in it.

    Contact support

Send us a message from the contact page, or email hello@gotriptraverse.com. Tell us which trip and which screen you were on, and describe what you expected to happen alongside what actually did.

It arrives in our inbox, and a real person reads every message that comes in. You don't need to be signed in to write to us, and support isn't limited by which plan you're on.

What to include in a report

The more specific a report is, the less back and forth it takes. When something has gone wrong, tell us:

    • Which trip, and which item on it: the stay, the transport leg, or the activity you were looking at.
    • What you were doing, in the order you did it.
    • What you expected to happen.
    • What happened instead.
    • A screenshot, whenever something looks wrong on screen. One image usually settles what a paragraph struggles to describe.

For a booking that imported with the wrong details, the useful comparison is what the trip item now says against what the original confirmation says. Quote both and the gap points straight at the problem.
